Book Awards IV runs from January 1 through November 1, 2010. For this challenge I’ll be reading 10 books from 10 different awards. I’ve participated in all three previous challenges and really enjoy it. I don’t find it at all difficult to read prize winners, but it will be a challenge to read 10 different awards. I’ll certainly read some old favorites (Booker, Orange, Pulitzer) but will also seek out several new-to-me awards.
My list:
- Morte d’Urban, by J.F. Powers (National Book Award) (review)
- Haweswater, by Sarah Hall (Commonwealth Prize) (review)
- Without My Cloak, by Kate O’Brien (James Tait Black Prize) (review)
- The Ghost Road, by Pat Barker (Booker Prize) (review)
- Runaway, by Alice Munro (Giller Prize) (review)
